-After watching Killing Eve, S1E1-
Hubs: When I saw her apartment I was like omg this is how ours looks like. You monster.
Me: ?
Hubs: I know her place looks organized but it's in a way that doesn't make sense, like ours.
Me: ???
Hubs: Like she impulsively collects pieces she likes... but also simple, practical, functional items... without adhering to a theme. It seems there's a theme, but it's... not right? I don't quite know how to put it. There is a certain pattern and it's apparent in the way you do our place.
Me: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Hubs: When I visit people, their place is either nice and organized, or messy. Ours is organized but in a weird way... Did you notice bullets are next to tampons in her closet?
Me: Yeah, makes sense because bullets and tampons are of similar sizes and shapes.
Hubs: No... it's just... no...
Me: Why no?
Hubs: And look at the state of the apartment building. Like ours, "it has characters" you said. We're living in a dump. All exposed surfaces within reach are occupied with random items, like the top of the fridge. Exactly like our place. And the mattress is on the floor. Our mattress was on the floor for 5 years and if I didn't insist, it would still be on the floor today.
Me: What's wrong with mattress on the floor?
Hubs: We're hiring an interior designer if we ever own a place.
